I know firsthand how hard it can be to take care of yourself when you're battling with depression. I’ve struggled with it almost my entire life and these past few years have been some of the hardest times of my life. I’ve struggled to shower, brush my teeth, and even do my hair. Unfortunately, my personal hygiene joined the list of things to worry about during my depressive episodes. However, I now believe personal hygiene can be made easier, even on the toughest days.

The inspiration for The Evergreen Lifestyle Subscription Box came to me during one of my own depressive episodes. I knew that personal hygiene was affecting my self-esteem and it shouldn’t be that way. The idea for a subscription box that catered to such a highly personal issue seemed like the perfect idea.

I think depressed people often feel like they are disposable or broken in some ways because of their mental illness. I wanted to create a box for depressed people to help them feel good about themselves and give us an opportunity to take care of ourselves, even if it is in an unconventional way.
